Twitter Verification is back! Activists, influencers, and brands can once again request Twitter’s blue badge (a.k.a. the blue checkmark) that could appear next to their names on Twitter.
The blue verified badge on Twitter lets people know that an account of public interest is authentic. To receive the blue badge, your account must be authentic, notable, and active.
Many of my clients and class participants have asked me what I think is the best online calendar to use to book appointments with their clients.
I recommend vCita’s online calendar for service-based businesses as I’ve tried several online scheduling tools, but have found vCita to be exactly what my business needs. It’s made it much easier for me to manage my calendar, and much easier for clients to reach me — especially this time of year when I am extremely busy.
I’ve been using vCita since 2014, and I tell you, when I realized how much vCita was benefiting my business, I was hooked. I became a partner and began helping my clients to start taking appointments from their clients as well.
As many business owners are still trying to figure out what direction to take their businesses in today’s environment, I want to focus on businesses that don’t have a website and are looking for a place to sell their products. 🙂
If you are using the Google My Business App, hopefully, you are also receiving reviews. Today I’m going to show you how to respond to those reviews when you receive them.
First, let me say a few things about receiving reviews on Google My Business.
As a small business owner, one of the things that you always want to make sure that you do is respond to those reviews.
In responding to those reviews, whether they are positive or negative, you always want to be polite.
Never, ever have an argument with someone on the Google review platform, (and even off of the review platform).
I have been trying to decide whether to cancel my YouTube TV membership for about a year now because I just simply don’t watch TV much. I only had it because I love the old, black, and white movies on Turner Classic Movies and King of Queens reruns.
I was trying to decide whether watching these shows once or twice a month was worth the $49 a month fee.
Well, today’s news regarding the YouTube TV price increase to $65 has helped me make that decision. As a current YouTube TV subscriber, it kind of feels like a slap in the face for them not to allow us to continue paying our current price, but it is what it is.

If you are using Canva to create graphic designs for your business, you already know how amazing it is — and if you use Canva on your desktop computer, they have just made it even more amazing!
A few days ago, Canva sent out an email with the subject line of “Canva for Desktop It’s Now Available.”
Your favorite design tool is now one click closer. Just tap the Canva icon on your desktop and start designing. No more scanning through multiple browser tabs. You can even set Canva to auto-launch when you log in to your device. Designing anything is now more personalized and convenient than ever.
During my most recent “Blog Writing for Business” class, the conversation came up regarding how to select a web designer and what I suggest you have in place before you hire one.
The information in this post will help you to prepare for the creation of your website* and help you to ensure that all of your website tools are registered in your name (not the web designer’s name).

Are you thinking about creating a website for your business, but don’t know where to begin? Well, here’s where you start.
Hopefully, by now you have a business name. Your business name is most likely what your domain name will be with either .com, .net, or .org as it’s domain name extension. I say most likely because there may be some reason why you want to use something other than your business name for your domain name. Some reasons may include:
